SCUBA

ZBTB1 — Zinc finger and BTB domain containing 1

ZBTB1 belongs to a gene co-expression module in 7 of 28 SCUBA cell types. Each module groups genes that rise and fall together in that cell type; the genes it shares a module with are its closest co-expression partners there.

Function

Acts as a transcriptional repressor. Represses cAMP-responsive element (CRE)-mediated transcriptional activation. In addition, has a role in translesion DNA synthesis. Requires for UV-inducible RAD18 loading, PCNA monoubiquitination, POLH recruitment to replication factories and efficient translesion DNA synthesis. Plays a key role in the transcriptional regulation of T lymphocyte development (By similarity).
