ANKRD28 — Ankyrin repeat domain 28
ANKRD28 belongs to a gene co-expression module in 11 of 28 SCUBA cell types. Each module groups genes that rise and fall together in that cell type; the genes it shares a module with are its closest co-expression partners there.

Function
Regulatory subunit of protein phosphatase 6 (PP6) that may be involved in the recognition of phosphoprotein substrates. Involved in the PP6-mediated dephosphorylation of NFKBIE opposing its degradation in response to TNF-alpha. Selectively inhibits the phosphatase activity of PPP1C. Targets PPP1C to modulate HNRPK phosphorylation. Involved in the PP6-mediated dephosphorylation of MOB1 and induced focal adhesion assembly during cell migration.
